I put this short video together to give folks an idea of how to approach crewing a runner on the move in Death Valley. It isn't perfect but I hope it is useful.
Excellent instructional video. Did you just make this recently? And who was that runner you were demonstrating on. Looks like some Hollywood character!

I am just passing along the information that was so lovingly given to me from the awesome Badwater community. Hey Rhea, you just got to the famous Lisa Smith-Batchen in the dvd! She is my coach!
I ran the race in 2005, and Townes Pass seems to have changed a lot since then. Anyway, I think you (and your crew) are going to do great, and all of us out here will be rooting for you all.
Jacki - Thanks for the tips! I like the idea of using the small container for passing the e-caps or meds and using the cup for the snacks. Look forward to meeting you in Death Valley!

Thank You Jackie!!! My BF is thinking about running the Badwater in a few years and I am her "crew chief". I was stumped - and terrified (this is the extreme in ultra events!). I am grateful for the ideas and examples!

Can I ask what brand running belt you are wearing? It looks more functional than any I have found. Looking to purchase for crewing this year.
